Directions

We're getting married in one of the historic pavilions of the beautiful Tower Grove Park, located in the heart of South Saint Louis. We love this park and have spent lots of time here: walking, biking, hitting the farmers' market, playing with Simon at the children's wading pool or playgrounds.

The park is easy to find (here's a Google map just in case) but discovering the correct shelter is a little more difficult. You'll find the map that came with your invitation below, and here is one that is easier read and more detailed.

The Old Playground Pavilion is in the Northeast corner of the park. You'll have to park your vehicle on the Main Drive as they don't open the gates to the "north closed road." If you don't know your way around, it's easiest to enter from Grand Blvd.

The Old Playground Pavilion

The history of Tower Grove Park is really intriguing, if'n you're into that sort of thing.

Our reception will be at Local Harvest Cafe Downtown, located in the Old Post Office Building. It is a 15-minute drive from the ceremony site; here're directions. The address for the Old Post Office is 815 Olive Street; however, the entrance to the cafe is at the back of the building (its northwest corner) at 9th and Locust, so you'll want to park there. Here's the side of the building you should end up on:

The reception will go from 6pm - 11 or midnight, depending on how quickly we drop. We'll have an open bar (please tip your bartender!) with soda, beer, wine, and liquor, a heavy appetizer buffet (eat as much or as little as you want! there will be fried chicken!), music, dancing, 2 live bands, and a DIY photobooth.

The reception isn't heavily scheduled. There'll be no sit-down dinner (the food will come out in 4 different waves--eat when you get hungry!) & no assigned seating. We'll do some toasts and some dances and cut a cake, but mostly we just want to socialize and have fun with you without a forced flow of events.

Dress code? County fair/country picnic party clothes.
