They met in 2008 while working at a small Italian restaurant. At the time, Erin had been hosting a popular karaoke night there with her sister Magan every Monday. Although they did some flirting at work, it was Aaron's smooth renditions of Boyz II Men and Bill Withers that really that made all the ladies wild, and Erin took note. She still swoons when he sings "Ain't No Sunshine." Magan noted the attraction out loud before either admitted it to themselves, and told Erin she needed to do something about it.

They started dating, casually at first, in the early fall of 2008. They took bike rides, visited their favorite dive bars to play Street Fighter and pinball, met each others' friends. Aaron even let Erin drag him to her poetry readings, and she went to see him in plays (the first time, he was en masque and in the tightest of pants as Benvolio in Romeo and Juliet!).
The homophony of their names never seemed as quirky to them as it did to other people. After all, if Erin said Aaron, he certainly knew who she was talking about.

The rest was history, though not so tidy and neat as some would have it. Through ups and downs, good times and bad, their lives eventually were melded in the best way possible when Simon Everett was born on June 4th of 2010.
Their new-found family sprung a household and fostered a marriage, leading to an engagement on March 28th, 2012. Aaron captured Erin's love of words and competition with a Scrabble proposal. She was so excited and surprised that she didn't even make him finish the game (and, please, could ladd?n be a word??).
Though they feel like old married folks already, they can't wait to formalize their relationship with you.
